About Hong Kong Open Printshop


Founded in 2000, Hong Kong Open Printshop (HKOP) is Hong Kong’s first non-profit open printshop run by artists. In 2012, Hong Kong Open Printshop registered as a charitable organisation. Our main aim is to promote visual art with an emphasis on image making and give back to the community by providing art programmes that people of all ages and from all walks of life can enjoy. 

 

Since 2000, HKOP had ambitions programme of exhibitions, international conference and community programmes, such as Between the Lines, Pop Up PressIMPACT 11, Hong Kong Fine Print and HKOP Awards. HKOP now manages two arts space in the JCCAC and Shanghai Street Art Space with over total 6000 sq. ft which includes an open press centre, a print lab, a print archive and a gallery featuring approximately 4-6 exhibitions per year.

Job Description

 

The manager will be responsible for supporting the administration of Hong Kong Open Printshop (HKOP). 

 

Duties include: 


 

  • Take charge and ensure a smooth and effective general office operation of the company

  • Responsible for the planning of human resources of the company

  • Ensure the compliance with all related regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices in all administrative processes to enhance the performance of the company

  • Assist in writing funding proposal and reports

  • Provide management reporting and key performance data for the management to review

 

Requirement: 


 

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above, preferably major in visual art related disciplines

  • With at least 7 years solid working experience in managing and executing art and culture projects, and with knowledge of printmaking is preferred

  • Experience of working with artists and arts organizations

  • Experience in funding application, program planning, budget control is preferred


  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Mandarin

  • Self-motivated, mature, independent, able to work under tight schedule and pressure

  • Computer literate, especially data analytical skills

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as administration officer

 

Occasional shift duty is required. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
