Polly Snaith is a figurative artist who focuses on kinetic movement through different media. She has worked closely with performing arts, playing a variety of roles as a creative collaborator as well as documenter making records of what she sees directly during a performance. Developing her skills from a long history of traditional life drawing, and more recently printmaking, she aims to capture the essence of movement. Snaith has collaborated with a wide variety of international and local dance and opera companies and organizations including: Juliette Binoche and Akram Khan; Finnish National Ballet; Dundee Repertory Theatre; Scottish Dance Theatre; English National Ballet; Loose Ladies Hong Kong; HK, Youth Arts Foundation; New York’s Site Specific Dance Company Third Rail; Danceart Hong Kong; Jazzart Dance Theatre Capetown; Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts; Hong Kong Polytechnic University; and Opera Hong Kong. Snaith did her Foundation (in Fine Art) at Jacob Kramer College of Art in Leeds, UK, but is otherwise self taught. She has recently commenced an MFA with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Snaith held two solo exhibitions in 2009, and has presented her work in joint exhibitions with HKOP: Art Hong Kong (2009); Polly Snaith Studio (2008); Hong Kong Graphic Art Fiesta: Crossing Boundaries (2007). She also participated in the 2009/2010 Artist-in-Residence programme at Hong Kong Open Printshop.
